Alex Guynn is a visionary, a pioneer, a motivator, a mentor, and a forward-thinking professional embodying excellence and leadership in the legal profession.  A native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, he has transformed every challenge into a success in not only his professional experiences, but also in his personal commitments.  A graduate of the University of Arkansas, School of Law and a Cum Laude graduate of University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, he has made it his mission in life to promote justice, integrity, and resilience to his practice. 

Attorney Guynn has built a strong, 10-year career in diverse specialties of law including criminal defense, civil litigation and torts, corporate law, bankruptcy law, domestic relations and family law, personal injury and sports law.  Guynn has served as the Managing Partner for his firm, Neely & Guynn, one of the Southeast’s fastest growing firms.  Most recently, the firm was recognized by the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s Economic Research and Development Center as the Most Promising Business. 

Attorney Guynn is a former Assistant City Attorney, Public Defender, Dependency-Neglect Attorney Ad Litem (child advocate) and was employed by Wal-Mart Corporate Legal Department and a Legal Support Operations Manager for a sports management firm.  Guynn has also applied his expertise to train the next generation of legal aspirants as an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Honored as one of Soiree’s Best Lawyers in Little Rock in 2014, Guynn was recently appointed by a panel of circuit court judges to the Federal Criminal Justice Act Panel in 2015 to represent indigent federal court defendants and to the Jefferson and Lincoln County Arkansas Public Defense Commission to serve as a Conflict Attorney.  He was recognized by the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Outstanding Legal Service as a Jefferson County Attorney Ad Litem in 2014 and commendation by the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences for an in-depth lecture on Criminal Justice and Juvenile Delinquency.

In addition to his successful career, he takes time to pour his philanthropic spirit into his community.  He has made significant contributions to many organizations serving in leadership roles and receiving numerous accolades for his outstanding service and professional performance.  He is a Board Member for a number of organizations including the Jefferson County Drug Court Outreach Foundation, the Valley Harvest Community Outreach Center, and the Bare Earth Training and Advancement Center of Jefferson County.  He is also an avid member the NW Arkansas Chapter of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Alumni Association, NAACP, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and the First Assembly of God in Pine Bluff.

Alex Guynn resides in the Pine Bluff area with his wife Lynn Guynn and their two beautiful daughters – Logan and Brooklyn.
